The Scout House

ABOUT THE BRAND

Emerging designers exist everywhere — buried beneath an overwhelming sea of options and endless scrolling. The Scout House exists to pull them to the surface. Every item on the site is hand-selected, creating a curated well of elevated finds. The cool pieces are out there. They just know where to look.

The visual identity was anchored in antique ballet binoculars; a nod to the hunt, paired with the rarity of the finds themselves. Describing herself as a "college scout for one-of-a-kind finds," founder Sally Mulvaney Wang spends every free moment scouring the internet for these hidden gems. Honing in this skillset started years earlier, in a family friend's home, filled to the brim with conversation-worthy items. For Sally, the space encapsulated everything she wanted the brand to be: celebrated, collected, and completely itself. The home itself was built into the brand, grounding The Scout House name.

That feeling guided the decision to work in custom lino-cut printmaking rather than a cleaner, more graphic style. Lino-cut carries a texture and organic imperfection that pulls you in — and for a brand built around pieces that feel one of a kind, the artwork and logo suite needed to feel that way too.
